The practice of yoga is thousands of years old, but only recently have its physical and mental health benefits become widely publicised and supported by scientific evidence. Yoga is increasingly used as a therapeutic treatment and has evidence for improving psychiatric conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
