Creative Expression: Connecting Carers

September 15, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, happening 8 times

FremantleMind Inc. invites carers who support people living with mental health conditions to participate in a free Creative Expression group.

What is Creative Expression?

In creative expression, you use multiple senses to explore your inner and outer world through the experience and creation of different art forms. The main focus of creative expression is on process over content. It is not necessary to have a background or training in the arts to benefit from expressive arts therapy. There is no judgment.

What to expect?

A highly supportive space for participants to potentially develop a more integrated sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance by:

  • Expressing feelings, thoughts, concerns, and desires by using art materials
  • Using art-making in your own personal way
  • Expressing yourself in a way that will not arise for you in everyday life
  • An opportunity to share your lived experience of being a woman living with breast cancer

Engage in art by:

  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Collage
  • Clay work
  • Expressive writing
  • Music

This is a closed group. Please ensure you have registered before the first session on the 28th July.
