Sam is a Counsellor, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 10 years experience practising in government and non-government organisations across Perth, Melbourne, and London.

Sam utilises a number of evidence-based practice models including CBT and Systemic Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is down to earth, jargon-free, and practical. She works to create a warm and safe environment for individuals to explore personal difficulties and strengths. Sam is skilled and experienced in several evidence-based counselling approaches, but will work with each individual to plan their counselling and ensure it is tailored to their individual goals and needs.

Sam’s special interests include working with adults and adolescents (from 12 years and over). Prior to starting private practice Sam was a senior clinician and counsellor working for a National Youth Mental Health Service. Sam also has extensive experience working with families who have been affected by disability and/or illness. Sam understands the rollercoaster of emotions that families often experience when adjusting to a diagnosis. This includes the impact on the individual as well as the impact on family relationships and dynamics, particularly for family carers and siblings.
