Refund Policy

Refunds for paid services

Attendees are entitled to a refund where MyLocalMind Inc. does not provide the service agreed upon, or where major changes are made (such as the date of service delivery).

MyLocalMind Inc. will automatically issue a refund to the original payment method when an event is cancelled. Where an event is postponed or otherwise significantly altered by MyLocalMind Inc. you are entitled to either retain your ticket for the new date/time or to request a refund. Refund requests can be made via admin@mylocalmind.org.au

Cancellations by any other party must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of the service being delivered. Cancellations after this time are not eligible for a refund but may be able to transfer to a different date/time. No refunds will be provided after the start time for service delivery regardless of whether you are in attendance.

 

Refunds for donations made through Eventbrite

Refunds for donations made in association with a specific services through Eventbrite will be refunded in the event that MyLocalMind Inc. cancels or makes major changes to the event in question. These donations will be automatically refunded to the original payment method upon cancellation of the event.

Refunds for donations made through Eventbrite must be requested through the Eventbrite platform. Refunds will be granted upon request up until the start of the event. Once the event has commenced, we regret that no refunds can be provided regardless of whether the donor attends the event.

 

Refunds for other donations

All donations are gifts made voluntarily to MyLocalMind Inc. (ABN 81 280 560 440) registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission and endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a tax concession charity and deductible gift recipient with no conditions. Donors receive a tax receipt at the time of donation. Donors who request refunds may not be eligible for tax deductions on their refunded donations.

Please note, MyLocalMind Inc. does not offer refunds on donations due to a change of heart. All donations are accepted in good faith. Refunds may be granted at MyLocalMind Inc.’s discretion, only in exceptional circumstances. MyLocalMind Inc. is under no obligation to refund donations made in error. Some circumstances in which refunds might be granted include when the donation was:

  • Made in a materially incorrect amount.
  • Not authorised by the donor.
  • If there was an error made by MyLocalMind Inc, one of our representatives or our financial institution.

Donors with exceptional circumstances such as these may contact us to request a refund. Where requests are received more than 60 days after the error, MyLocalMind Inc. regrets that we are unable to issue a refund.

MyLocalMind Inc. reserves the right to deduct any bank or transaction charges for any refund processed onto the donor.
